Angry Fix your damn dyes Guild Wars.

Ok, mixing red and orange to make what i like to call Death Fire, this was my first week of playing, should show up as Death Fire when you put it on your cloths, not Babys Bottom, also known as LIGHT BLUE.

P.S, I like naming my mixed colors, just not wearing there alter egos.

I wanna hear some more thoughts on this. And are the creators color-blind, or just trying to **** with us?

He means before you dyed them. Sometimes the dye mixes with the underlying colors. Also, what color is the dyed item's icon in your inventory? If it's red-orange in your inventory, you probably have a case of the undelying colors affecting your dye.

Or did you use the dye on a weapon, particularly an underworld-type weapon (e.g. Chaos Axe)? I know for a fact that many of these dye inversely, so in that case having red-orange come out light blue would make sense.

As a slightly off-topic point, I would like it if GW had some sort of dye testing window, where you could see what different dye combinations (even with dyes you don't have) would look like on your equipment.

Are you talking about just the icon, or the actual armour? My ascetic tattoo icons get dyed bright light blue when I put my brownish schmutz paint on them, but the armour is all brownish schmutz nonetheless.

LOL. Baby's Bottom. Ahem, sorry. You do have to take into account the armor or whatever you are dyeing. Sometimes that will affect the color. You may have to take the exact opposite of what you want the color to be to get what you really want.

and few have mentioned that the dye mixing scheme does not work. From what I've heard it's based on subtractive color mixing (light) as opposed to additive color mixing (the color wheel) which means it's rather crap.
